We are a family-run London red bus operator based in Hertfordshire, serving London and its neighbouring counties.
Managing Director Bernice Osborne
Bernice set up the company in 2007 with her parents and husband, and like the full team, is driven by affection for the Routemaster era. She is fiercely proud of what she has achieved and the service that Routemaster Hire Ltd offers clients. Her previous career in information technology and work in large corporate organisations helps her set up efficient operational systems and to anticipate and meet the requirements of companies of all sizes and people with different expectations.
Office Manager Jenny Dee
Jenny is considered the backbone of the company and it is her responsibility to handle customer enquiries, venue arrangements, bookings, route planning and trouble shooting. She is ruthlessly efficient and a stickler for high standards on the buses.
Operations Director David Harding
David Harding, with a former career in construction, is highly skilled and experienced in project and people management. He is a fervent admirer of the Routemaster and is part of the management and the onboard crew to see to the smooth running of the service. He is also responsible for the ongoing vehicle maintenance programme of the fleet and the management of the driver team.
Financial Director Jean Harding
Jean takes care of the minutiae of book keeping and finance, and is responsible for the annual financial statements.
Onboard Crew
Routemaster Hire Ltd has a corps of six Routemaster drivers, each passionately devoted to the Routemaster and an expert on London.
Other onboard crew are the hosts, which include Jenny Dee, John Dee, David Harding, Callum Dee and Hannah Dee. They are there to ensure a premium onboard experience and to sort out anything that needs attention.
